A Foraging or Wild Foods Course as a Gift?
A popular choice for our customers is to purchase a place (or places) on a Foraging or Wild Food course with Wild Food People.
Around 20-30% of our customers each year attend after receiving a gift voucher, and over the years we have tried to make the process as simple and flexible as we possibly can.
There are three ways to purchase a gift voucher:
- Choosing an course type and leaving it for the recipient to choose the date
- Choosing a specific date for a specific course
- A voucher that is redeemable against a certain amount
Vouchers for specific course types can either be an e-voucher (a code and a personalised PDF) or a printed voucher.

Any Date
This is a voucher for a place or places on any publicly advertised dates for a specific course.
Specific Date
This is a voucher for a place or places on a specific course on a specific date.
Open Voucher
This is a voucher for an amount of money and is redeemable against any course and date within the specified timeframe.
Can I buy a Gift Voucher for your courses?
We offer personalised gift vouchers for all of our courses as well as open vouchers which are redeemable against any of our courses for the amount specified on the gift voucher.
Our Gift Vouchers are an extremely popular gift for people who love the outdoors and wild food, they provide the chance to learn more about wild food from passionate and knowledgeable professionals. We understand that not one size fits all and have three different types of Gift Voucher as detailed below.
How do I buy a Gift Voucher?
If you would like to buy a voucher for a specific course date, please let us know in the order notes/additional information text box at checkout and we will be in touch about a personalised message for the voucher.
If you are buying a Gift Voucher for a particular course to be redeemed by the recipient against a course date of their choosing, please select the appropriate “Gift Voucher” option in the drop down menu and add this to your cart then proceed to payment as usual.
If you would like to purchase a Gift Voucher for a monetary value to allow the recipient to choose their course and date, then you’ll need to go to our open Gift Voucher option, select the amount and purchase this.
How do I use my Gift Voucher?
If you have been gifted a voucher for a course happening on a specific date then please get in touch with us at office@wildfoodpeople.co.uk or 01824 703121 quoting your voucher code, name and your contact phone number and email address. You do not need to redeem your voucher through our website as we already have you booked onto the course, but unless we have your contact details then we will send any communications to the person who bought the gift voucher.

Can I change my voucher?
Gift giving can be complicated and it’s possible that the purchaser has inadvertently double booked you or may have thought that you were more into the sea than woodland. To check out our policy about changes to gift vouchers and bookings then please see our Terms and Conditions
Redeeming your Gift Voucher
Choose your course date
Find the course which your voucher is valid for, or choose the course which you are interested in. Select the date which you would like to attend from the drop down menu and click on the ‘add to cart’ button.
Enter your voucher code
Select to view your basket in the pop-up window or by clicking on the bag symbol in the top right of the main menu. The course that you selected should be in your basket. below that there is a section called ‘Coupon Discount’ enter the voucher code in this section and click the ‘Apply Coupon’ button beneath. The value of your Gift Voucher will be taken from the subtotal if your voucher is valid for that course and date. Then you can proceed to checkout as normal to pay any remaining amount or to claim your place if the full amount is covered by your voucher.
If you have any problems with your voucher code not working then please don’t continue through to payment but instead contact us by email or phone and we will try to resolve any issues.
What happens next?
Once you have redeemed your Gift Voucher against a course place you will receive a confirmation email and further information about the course as required.
