Our Foraging and Wild Food courses focus on commonly found wild edible plants and fungi found in woodlands, hedgerows and grasslands across the UK.
This course will take place over 4 hours and will take in a 2 mile circular walk through a privately owned woodland near Ruthin in North Wales where you will learn about the identification and properties of 20-30 different species.
The time of year affects the species which we will see during the course but generally we will talk about leaves, flowers, fruits, some roots and tubers, nuts and mushrooms.
We also want to ensure that you can continue your foraging journey beyond the course and will be recommending books and ID guides for further reading; during the course we will discuss the law and ethics of foraging.
